About Getting the Right Meatball...
I recently completed an ethnic comedy novel and was sitting in my mother's kitchen breading veal cutlets, wracking my brain to come up with a title for the book. My mother was discussing how her friend, Teresa Mangionne always ended up on the right side of every argument and had all the buona fortuna. I asked her why she thought her friend had 'all the luck' and She raised her veal cutlet in the air, egg-wash dripping from her fork and declared 'Eh Cinzia, how the hell do I know...sometimes God just sends you the right meatball.' It was then that I knew I had found the title for my book.
